Equifax Credit Report

What is an Equifax Credit Report? Equifax is a credit reporting agency. Equifax makes up a third of the credit reporting agencies. When a financial institute inquires for a credit report on someone it may come from Equifax. Equifax will supply to the financial institute any and all information about you and your payment history of other bills and or loans. With this report from Equifax a financial institute can determine whether or not it would be a good idea or not a good idea for them to loan to you.

Equifax Credit Report Scores

Equifax credit reports have a credit score on them for each person. The credit score is determined by your history of payment for past bills. If you have been a slow payer, your credit score will be lower than that of a person that has payed all their bills on time. If you have bills in collection, such as, medical bills, these will show up on your credit report as unpaid. The unpaid bills lower your credit score, also. Equifax may also give you a high credit score.

A high credit score means that you have payed all or most of your bills on time and that you have no bills due from you to be payed to collection agencies. Equifax credit reporters do not determine your credit score alone. The same scoring is used for everyone, everywhere. No one is treated different. A bad or a good credit score depends completely on you and your payment history. The only job of the Equifax credit report is to allow others to see this information.

This report an be viewed by just about anybody, including you. If you are one of the lucky ones, you will have a good credit score. With a good credit score you could be able to get a loan with no problems or almost no problems. With a bad credit score this could be a lot harder.

A bad credit score tells your lender that you may not pay back the loan for goods and or services. That in turn will make the lender afraid to loan to you for fear of not getting their money back.
