Not only can you buy guides for games but you can also purchase guides for backups for all types of configurations, tutorials, and patches. Find a guide and get familiar with the backup process for Ps2. Don not trust every Ps2 site you find out there. Everyone has something to sell and many of them can be open one day and closed the next. Find the site and product that works best for your setup.

We all know by now that the copying of DVD's is being fought about in the court system. Many believe that copying a DVD violates copyright laws. The file structure of a DVD prevents the easy backup of files to DVD. The files structure of your hard drive and your Ps2 software is different than the file structure of your DVD disk. In order to communicate during the backup process and to assure that you end up with a copy that is readable and usable, you will need software that is able to make the transition for you. Otherwise you will be swimming in a sea of file goo an unable to make heads or tails of where you need to be in the process. Get software that can assist you.

Ps2 Backup Requires Further Assistance

Not only is the DVD backup process a stinker to deal with but also Playstation throws another wrench in the process. Playstation cannot ready Ps2 backup disks without help. That help comes in the form of a modchip that needs to be purchased separately. Be aware that the modchip can invalidate your consoles warranty.
