If you secure a credit card with a low apr it should remain at the same apr as you were quoted when you signed the credit card application. However you should be careful when you apply for a credit card with low apr because sometimes there are hidden costs or the apr will be raised. The credit card application will say this but you might not notice it or know to look for it.

A credit card with a low apr should remain at the same rate unless you fail to make payments on time or do anything to cause your credit score to come down. To qualify for a low apr you must have good credit so if your credit score changes and goes down you may no longer qualify for the low apr. So make your payments on time!

In fact you will eventually be able to raise it from good to better. So keep this in mind when you feel like you will never qualify for a low apr on anything because you will. You will just have to work hard at repairing your credit. Remember a credit card with a low apr is a reward so your hard work at building your credit score won't go unnoticed.
