OECD: U.S. National Contact Point

The United States is a member of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). The OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises are non-binding recommendations made to enterprises by the 30 OECD member countries and six non-member countries. The U.S. National Contact Point seeks to raise awareness of the Guidelines.

Highlights
Participants at a meeting of the OECD Global Forum on Taxation in Berlin on 3-4 June, which brought together representatives of both OECD countries and non-OECD economies, agreed on a process aimed at achieving high standards of transparency and information exchange in a way that is fair and equitable and permits fair tax competition between all countries.
