Look for Chores and Turn Them into a Business Opportunity
As a kid, you hated chores just like everyone else... but what if you could turn one of these into a business opportunity and make a decent income out of mowing the lawn?
Most adults don't like chores either and will pay generously for a service simply so they don't have to do it themselves. Take house cleaning as an example. Many people started home cleaning companies and are now hiring staff to work with them as business is flowing in!
Pick the Right Chore to Make Your Business Opportunity a Success
Consider what you want to do, what people don't like to do, and finally look at the market and the competition in your area to make your business opportunity a success.
There is a variety of opportunities out there from walking the dogs in the rain and snow, to pressing shirts. Be original and make sure that what to pick is something lot of people hate doing. This ensures you have a wide customer base.
Sample Business Opportunity #1: Ironing
Turn shirt pressing into a business opportunity. Most laundries offer to wash and press your shirts. Considering that most people own a washer and dryer, why should they pay for the laundry to wash and dry when this part of the job can be done at home, free. This is where you come in and offer to iron shirts that are already washed and dried for a fraction of the laundry price. You don't need anything else but an ironing board and an iron!
Sample Business Opportunity #2: Pet Walking
The business opportunity that come from pet owners is getting larger and larger. You could get your share of that by targeting pet owners who need to travel and leave home. Dogs and cats are very disturbed when they are checked-into a kennel for the weekend, and most of them prefer to stay in their own home. Your job is to feed the dogs and cats, play with them, walk them around the neighborhood while their owners are away for a few days. This is at no cost to you but your spare time.
Sample Business Opportunity #3: Clearing the Clutter
Most people agree that they don't have time to clear their basement, and this is a perfect business opportunity for you if you like keeping things in order.
Come up with a simple methodology to organize people's belongings into areas of the space. Suggest they buy shelves to store boxes and mark them with clear labels. The same applies to any room of the house, and you can easily work on a room by room basis. Target business people who are self-employed and too busy to work with clients to sort their own desk and paperwork. Tell your clients to keep all their paperwork in one box, and in just a few hours a month you will be able to sort and file their documents.
