How Can You Make Your Business Opportunity Get Noticed?
Every person has their inner entreprenuer. From the stay-at-home mom to the corporate burn-out, there are thousands of people in America looking for the perfect business opportunity. You, as the business owner looking to share what you feel is the best business opportunity on the market, need leads. How do you find them?
Make a Warm List to Whom You Can Introduce Your Business Opportunity.
You may have already done this when starting your business. A warm list is a list of people you know fairly well, that are willing to listen to you present your business opportunity. Take your time compiling your list. Think of the people you come in contact with on a daily basis. The bank teller, the PTA leader, the dog groomer, the grocery checker, your hairdresser, your sister-in-law, etc. These are just some of the endless ideas of people on your potential warm list.
Once you compile your list, send a note, call or visit each person on the list. Obviously, you will need to set a goal of how many to contact per week or per day. All you need to do is request that they allow you to present your business opportunity to them. Those that know you well will often do this just because they like and respect you. What you need to make clear is that there is no obligation to them.
Ask for Referrals When Presenting Your Business Opportunity to Your Warm Market.
Once you have made all the appointments with your warm list, make your presentations! Naturally, you will have practiced doing so, and will make a stellar delivery of your business opportunity each time. Even if those on your warm list are not interested, they can be a vital source of more leads for your business opportunity. Be sure to have each of them help you. Asking for help is the best way to get it. Say something like "Thank you for taking the time to listen to my presentation.
I'm sorry you don't feel [my business opportunity] is the best fit for you right now. I am really trying to grow my business though and could use your help. Can you think of anyone you know that would benefit from hearing about my business opportunity? " Or, if the prospect from your warm list loves your presentation and is ready to explore your business opportunity, make an appointment with him/her to start THEIR warm list.
In many industries, referral business is the most consistent, and most inexpensively obtained business.
Advertising is a Very Effective Way to Get Leads for Your Business Opportunity.
Many people that are offering a business opportunity do not have or do not like to spend a lot of money on advertisement. You can advertise and generate leads inexpensively. What you are trading in exchange for expense is your time. You can print flyers, post free ads online, place small ads in small local papers or any other number of creative advertising measures. However, be aware that this is a lot of work and time consuming.
Just one advertisement in a major newspaper, although more costly, could yield more leads than all of the above measures combined. Be smart about how you advertise your business opportunity. Be genuine in what you are saying. Do not make false promises of exorbitent income within the first days. When all other options have been exhausted, you can purchase leads from companies that compile leads for you. This can be both expensive and dangerous.
There are a lot of companies offering leads, but little guarantee that the leads are fresh, or that the leads are interested in your type of opportunity. Getting leads for your business opportunity is an ongoing process. Planting the seeds of what your business is about each week consistently will yield a fruitful harvest in time. Consistency and perserverance are key.
