We hear so much about the Internet and Internet based business, the idea of a work from home business sans technology seems impossible. While it is more difficult than it was ten or even five years ago, it is not impossible. Obviously, we aren't talking about an online sales business( think ebay) but we might be talking about crafting or other creative endeavors. You will have to make some adjustments, but you don't have to start writing code tomorrow.
Many people find it much easier and efficient to communicate via email than by telephone, so you will have to find ways to accommodate your customers. Consider also the difference between faxing documents and sending then via email. Increasingly, the latter is done, but the former still happens quite a lot. Try to find a balance between honoring where you are now, in terms of technological comfort, and your customer needs. For some of you that may mean taking a class. For others it may mean hiring an assistant.
