Steve Curtis claimed another place in the record books on Friday (10 December, 2004) when he clinched the 2004 Class 1 World Powerboat Championship at the final round in Dubai. Curtis has now won the Class 1 world title an unprecedented six times.

The RYA’s South West Zone held their Winter Regatta on Saturday 11th December at Chew Valley. 80 sailors from all over the zone were competing in Mirrors, Toppers and Optimists, with the event being the final stage in the selection procedure for the South West Zone Squad.
