Most Vancouver museums are found in Vanier Park the most popular being the Vancouver Museum and the HR Macmillan Space Centre. There are wide open spaces in which to relax in the sunshine with a good book or picnic before checking out the Planetarium in the Space Centre. The Vancouver Museum is filled with items pertaining to the History of the city and British Columbia. Included in the exhibits are interesting artefacts of the aboriginal peoples.

Downtown Vancouver is packed with endless distractions to keep you busy. During the day you can spend your time and cash in the many excellent shops centred around Robson Street. By night you can head out the lively bars and restaurants.

If your feet are aching from all the shopping, dancing or hiking through the areas mountains what better than a day chilling out on one of Vancouver's pristine beaches. The main beaches are English Bay Beach, Second Beach, Third Beach and Kits. Some beaches can be found in the massive 1000 acre Stanly Park. The park is surrounded on three sides by the ocean and beaches. Within the park you will find open spaces, forest and great views of both the city and the mountains. It is North America's largest urban park.
