Working at home means being in control of your future - it also means that you have to take control of yourself.

People who choose to work at home quickly have to learn how to cope with rejection. You need to be aware that you won't win every contract. Working from home is a numbers game. You have to get yourself out in to the market place, and let companies know that you are there. You've also got to be prepared to take some knocks and blows on the way. Working at home is far from a walk in the park.
Take Constructive Criticism When You Work at Home
If you choose to work at home, you will have to tolerate being told by customers and clients how you can improve. Projects you are assigned may come back needing redone, documents may need to be rewritten, and in some cases you may need to call the client and re-talk the whole project. Businesses are paying you for a service, so they will expect you to get it right. And if you don't get it right first time, they will expect for you to keep going back until you do. It is your job to provide the service that they are paying you for. You're reputation depends on it.
