Instead of spending the time traveling, you can work in the comfort of your own home. You will also save in terms of transportation, whether you drive your own car, or you use the public transport.
Another plus point is that you don't have to share the profits of your home based business with anyone else, unless, of course, you have a partner.

Just like having benefits, there are some risks involved as well. One of the major factor is that most people get into starting a home based business without first finding out what would be most suitable for themselves. They also do not have proper planning and enough cash to last them for at least 6 months when they first venture into the home based business.
