The procedure is simple, fast, and efficient whether you want a new site
or a redesigned site. Send us an e-mail listing the site features and
site sections you want. We review this, offer suggestions on how to
maximize your site using today's technology, and we provide a
free cost estimate. Once you approve the site outline, you send us
materials (text, photos, business information), and we begin
designing your site.
If you already have a website, we can use materials from your current
site. Or, you can provide us with completely new materials just as if
you were having your first website. We prefer to receive the text for
the site in a word processing file such as Word, and photos as either
prints (preferred), slides, or electronic files. If you have
brochures, catalogs, and other sales and marketing items, we request
copies of these so we can design your site to match your company's
look.
Costs for websites vary depending on the number of site sections (pages)
and the amount of graphic design we have to do, such as the number of
animations, etc. Databases and special site search items require
extra design time, as do special forms and other specialty items.
Each of our site designs includes full coding to register your site
in top search engines, and other “behind the scenes” items
to assure fast downloading of pages, including photos and graphics
and site registration. As a rule of thumb, we can design a 5-6
section site with a home page, about section, several content
sections, with support photos and graphics, and a contact form for
around $1,500. Prices vary, and we provide a detailed site outline
and price estimate before beginning any work.
Generally, once we receive all materials, it takes about 2 weeks to design a
small or medium sized website. Larger sites, and sites with
e-commerce centers take 3-4 weeks from start to finish.
Yes! We can design your site so specific areas, such as “News”
or “Events” can be updated by you or your staff without any
knowledge of html or web technology. We create simple-to-use menus
into which you type or cut and paste information. Or, if
you prefer, we can update your website on a daily, weekly, or monthly
basis.
We will design your website for hosting at any location, on any host
provider. Or, if you prefer, we will host your website. Costs for
this vary depending on your actual server needs (e-commerce center,
database search capabilities, data collection, etc.). However,
generally there is a one-time setup fee of $150-$350 and a monthly
fee of $25/month. For exceptionally large sites, or sites with many
database and search functions, or a large e-commerce center, the
monthly fee can be slightly higher.
