At present gas and electricity companies are offering two types of green energy;

1. Fund - this is where as part of your bill you pay a contribution to reputable environmental schemes, research or projects.

2. Source - this is where your energy has been generated from a renewable source, or the energy you have used from the national grid is replaced with as much renewable energy as you have used.
