Charente is one of the sunniest regions of France The capital,Angouleme is approx 20 km away while Cognac is approx 30 km.The beaches at Royan and La Rochelle are about a 2 hour drive away.There are restaurants at Mansle,Ruffec and La Rochfoucauld all within a 10 minute drive.La Rochfoucauld also has a 12c chateau which is open for visits all year.

The kitchen dining room has a hob/oven,fridge/freezer,microwave,dishwasher,washing machine and a large dining table The lounge has comfortable seating with TV(BBC available) Upstairs are 3 double bedrooms a bath/showerroom and seperate toilet Outside is a patio with garden furniture,a BBQ,swimming pool of 9mtrs by 4mtrs, and private garden. Sleeping 6 people in three double bedrooms,with kitchen dining room,lounge patio garden and swimming pool The swimming pool is used occassionaly by the gite owner M Gelibert.The prices are per week and are fully inclusive of bed linen ,towels, electricity, high chairs and cots if required.It is registered with Gites de France and has a three star rateing.
