The web site that they are using for mortgage lead generation will be mortgage information rich and will be rich in the most common words that are searched by someone looking to purchase a home or secure a mortgage.
Once the searcher gets to the web site, they will be free to read about the mortgage application process and other information regarding buying a home. There will also be an optional form for the visitor to fill out requesting that they be contacted with mortgage quotes and offers. When they fill out that form, they have become a mortgage lead that will be sold to those looking to market mortgage loans.

For these reasons, telemarketing to generate mortgage leads is no longer as common of a practice as it was in the past.
