Organ and Tissue Donations

Alaska state law allows a person who is at least 18 years of age to make an anatomical gift which is effective upon the applicant's death.  A person under the age of 18 may sign up with a parent or guardian as a witness.

Life Alaska is sponsoring the donor registry to help facilitate the donation process and to help honor an individual's donation wishes.   It is important that you make your family aware of your wishes, as family always has the final say.

To learn more about the Alaska donor program or to register with the Alaska Donor Registry online, please visit Life Alaska at www.lifealaska.org., or call 1(800) 719-5433 (in Alaska).  You may also contact www.shareyourlife.org.
