Sockeye Salmon Fishing Guided
sockeye salmon trips are available throughout the summer. We fish select
locations on the Kenai Peninsula and also on the west side of Cook Inlet,
via floatplane. Below is a complete list of trip descriptions and related
costs.
Kenai River Sockeye Salmon:The primary return of late run Kenai River sockeye occurs during the month of July and extends into the month of August. We regularly take anglers into Kenai National Wildlife Refuge below Skilak Lake, where the fish are regularly found in great numbers. This day can also be combined with trophy trout fishing, also available in this section of the river. Cost: $175 per person: Full Day (guide, all gear and power boat) Season: July 1 - Aug 15 West Side Cook Inlet: Wolverine Creek, Big River LakeThis is a 20 minute fly out trip to the West Side of Cook Inlet and to Big River Lake, set against the coastal mountains and the entrance to Lake Clark Pass. Fishing is done at the mouth of Wolverine Creek and great location to see thousands of salmon in shallow clear water and also to view brown bear in close proximity. Fishing is done from boats and great precaution is taken to ensure this unique mix of fishing and wildlife viewing is done in a responsible and safe manner. No fishing is allowed when bears are present and all fish are kept in required bear proof containers. Cost: $350 per person: Full Day (includes float-plane transportation, guide, all gear and boat) Season: June 10 - Aug 1.
