Try This Version of Handy Backup
Is there such a thing as a handy backup? We know that data backup is important. Without the backup you could be rebuilding all of your important files if you lose them and losing them is far easier than you could imagine. A handy backup had now been transferred into a software package called Handy Backup. This easy to use software package guides you through a handy backup process using a user-friendly wizard interface.
The program allows you to choose what to backup and where to backup to along with choosing how often you would like to backup your data, daily, weekly, or monthly and at what specific time you would like to have the handy backup to occur.
Handy Backup Security
The Handy Backup software product has the capability to encrypt the backup data at 128-bit encryption. Many companies do not realize the need for encryption in their backup data. Instead they backup on a regular basis to tape or CD and store the data in a cabinet on site or take copies to an off site location. They never consider that the backup is vulnerable and available to anyone who wants to pop it in a drive and read it or steal it.
A handy backup may not be the best choice if the data is not protected in the process of backing up. Choosing to encrypt using Handy Backup can remove the risk of threat to your business data.
Handy Backup and the Backup Plan
Every business should make time to create a disaster recovery plan, a contingency plan, a data backup plan, and a data recovery plan. The disaster plan should cover the business as a whole in the event of a disaster and every type of disaster from a water leak to a theft to an earthquake (where appropriate) should be addressed. The who, when, where, how and why of each situation possible should be discussed and planned for.
The backup plan is an integral part a disaster recovery plan and a contingency plan and absolutely necessary to a recovery plan. Data is the core of a business in many cases. Even the smallest business can be affected by data loss. Without a handy backup plan data is at risk. If you have not considered your data, its protection and its recovery using Handy Backup may be a great way to begin making that change.
Handy Backup Testing
Even with a great backup plan your data may still be at risk. No backup in the world could change data recovery if the backup is corrupted or damaged or not even there. Testing your backup data is crucial to a handy recovery. Test your backup plan in a test environment that has been constructed to mimic your network and systems but is not connected to the network. Connecting a test environment to a network raises the risk level of corruption and possible damage to the original data.
Test your backups regularly in the test environment. Recreate your recovery process and know what its limits are. Doing so will keep your data at your fingertips and ready for retrieval.
