MIAMI A spokesman says it's nothing more than a social meeting -- but officials from the Florida Marlins had talks with Las Vegas officials seeking a major-league baseball franchise. Bruce Rubin, a spokesman for Marlins principal owner Jeffrey Loria, says yesterday's meeting involved Las Vegas' mayor and team officials.Rubin says talks for a new stadium in Miami are taking much longer than anticipated -- adding that it's "only fair and appropriate" that Loria "examine all of his options."Florida Governor Jeb Bush seemed surprised by the meeting when reporters asked him about it today, saying he hopes the team remains in Florida.
