What's New
9 July 1998
- You may notice that we have rearranged
the resource pages of the Australian Libraries Gateway site. We've included
more resources for library staff on the For
Libraries page. We've replaced 'Find an Item' with
Pathways to Information which, when
complete, should guide users to the specific information they are looking for -
whether this be in a library, on a database, or on the Internet. Have a look at
the new pages and please pass on any suggestions or comments.
- Do you belong to any library-related
discussion lists? Are you aware of what lists exist? Find out on the
Discussion lists page. We've just
finished revising this list so most of the information on it should be
up-to-date. Please let's know if we've missed any lists or if there is any
incorrect information on the page.
- The Australian Libraries Gateway team
have begun receiving many reference enquiries, suggesting that users are not
sure where to start looking for information. Thus we've put together a page of
links to reference enquiry services
offered by libraries throughout Australia. If your library offers such a
service but is not yet on the list, please let us know the details and we will
include you. We think this will be a useful service, because we've found that
trying to track down details of these services on library websites is often a
very difficult task.
