Ireland Yacht Charter

Ireland is sometimes wrongly overlooked as a great location in the United Kingdom to charter a yacht. It is true that Ireland yacht charter can be for the more experienced, as some of the open sea passages can be challenging, even if short.

Admire the Royal Cork Yacht Club, the oldest yacht club in the world, Bantry Bay and Oysterhaven harbor. Interesting chartering areas include Kinsale, with its Georgian homes, Castle Haven, with its very steep streets and the lovely harbor of Arigold. There are also numerous marinas, ports and local pubs where you can sample some Guinness, share a laugh and hear a song. You can even sail your charter yacht out to Fastnet Rock, famous for the Fastnet Race and infamous for the 1979 Fastnet storm.

The types of yacht charter available in Ireland include motor, sailing, bareboat charter, skippered, crewed yachts, catamaran, power boat, sailboat, and even the occasional luxury yacht charter.

The Irish weather can be a bit changeable at times and the water remains cool even in the summer months. The main yacht charter season runs from about May through to about September.
