U.S. Response to Earthquake and Tsunamis in Asia, Including How You Can Help

Global Anti-Semitism Report
The United States is committed to monitoring and combating anti-Semitism worldwide as an important human rights and religious freedom issue. The Global Anti-Semitism Review Act, Public Law 108-332, signed by the president October 16, 2004, mandated this special report to Congress. As President Bush said when he signed the Act, "Defending freedom also means disrupting the evil of anti-Semitism." [report; briefing]

U.S. Ambassador to Uzbekistan Jon Purnell met with participants of the Community Connections "Islam in a Religiously Diverse United States" program to discuss their 3-week trip to the United States. During the hour-long roundtable meeting, alumni shared their impressions of the U.S. and talked about the effect that the program has had upon their lives.
