You won't simply see France; you will taste an insider's France, filled with the sights, sounds, and smells of this vibrant country. By the end of your stay, your ability to communicate effectively in French will astonish you!

Orientation in Paris

Your adventure begins in Paris, the grandest of all French "classrooms." During your three-day orientation, become an expert at negotiating the Metro, visit the Arc de Triomphe and the Louvre, and meander down the Champs Elysées, practicing French as you and your group visit local vendors to buy breads, pastries, fruits, and cheeses for a picnic lunch. Feel free to stop and ask for directions as often as you need to… in French, of course!

In the mornings, I woke up to the smell of jasmine tea and the herbs of the garden wafting through the door. Everything, including the people, food, and weather, had a special character I had never seen. I learned about the French by living like the French. I asked more questions than I ever had in my entire life. I saw the French past the stereotypes. Everything I did taught me another aspect of the people I lived with. I was able to speak, and occasionally mime, my way through two weeks with a French family, and I enjoyed every moment of it.
