AirTran Airways, a
subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. , today announced that the airline
has signed a joint marketing agreement with Walt Disney World Resort, in
Lake Buena Vista, Fla. The agreement will allow customers of AirTran
Airways to book Walt Disney World vacations seamlessly with one internet
session or telephone call.
Last night witnessed the opening ceremony of 2005’s Caribbean Marketplace, this year hosted at one of the regions leading properties, Half Moon Jamaica. It is the first time the event has been hosted in Jamaica since 1980. As a shock to all the country’s Prime Minister, P. J Patterson, made a major announcement that BancoMex will provide financial funding to develop a new convention centre – placing Jamaica in league with other Caribbean destinations such as Puerto Rico.
Raffles International Limited has signed a management contract with Jing An City Construction Fitting Development Company (Jing’an Chengjian), to manage a new hotel development in Shanghai slated for opening in 2007. Named Swissôtel Grand Shanghai, the 478-room hotel will be managed under Raffles International’s Swissôtel brand. The deal marks Raffles International’s first foray into the buoyant Shanghai market and further strengthens its foothold in China. With this move, the company has a global footprint of 38 hotels and resorts in 19 countries in 33 destinations.
Following BC Partners and Cinven's offer to Amadeus shareholders of €7.35 a share, valuing the company at around €4.3bn (£3bn), Amadeus has issued the following statement to the Spanish Stock Exchange authority (CNMV - Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores).
