(HealthDayNews) -- Airplane travel often leaves your skin and eyes feeling dry. This is because the humidity in an aircraft cabin is usually less than 20 and nbsp;percent, says the Aerospace Medical Association.
The dry air may cause you some discomfort, but there is little risk to your health.
Here's what you can do to minimize the dryness:
- Drink reasonable amounts of water and juices.
- Limit your consumption of alcohol, tea, coffee and caffeinated drinks. They cause you to lose fluids.
- Wear glasses instead of contact lenses.
- Apply a skin moisturizer.
