Project Initiation |
|
PA can be used for IT management software or construction management software. The first step in using PA Project Management Software is to initiate a project. There is some mandatory project information that needs to be entered when setting up a project in the project management tool. You can also record additional information such as the business problem that is being addressed by the project, dependencies, deliverables, and what is excluded from scope. Finding the answers to these sorts of questions will help the project manager focus the project team on why they are undertaking the project, and what they are expected to deliver. Much of this information is on the second screen - see the tab "Additional Information" Whilst there is considerable information that can be input, in order to use most of the functionality of Project Administrator, only the project name need be entered. Once this is done, you can start logging Issues, Risks, Scope changes, Diary Notes, Budgets and Expenditure, Action Items, Time sheets etc. |
Below are a number of white papers which relate to starting a project.
