Travel to Nairobi, Kenya of the UN Security Council

Reaching Agreement on Peace for SudanThe UN Security Council held a rare session away from its New York Headquarters on November 18-19 in Nairobi, Kenya.  In a bid to spur peace efforts in Sudan, they convened in a highly symbolic step in neighbouring Kenya and receiving pledges from the parties in one of the wars in Africa's largest country to reach an accord swiftly  The Council President for November is Ambassador John Danforth.
