Built in 1843, this antebellum
house has been home to only six families in
the past 161 years! Located within the historic
district it is the largest restored pre-civil
war home in Shelbyville, Tennessee and within
walking distance of the Calsonic Arena. The
2 acre park-like setting is sheltered by a grand
Black Walnut tree, three Southern Magnolias,
a Tulip Poplar, stately Oaks and many more!
Many original features remain in this home including
gleaming red oak floors.

From the time you arrive, your innkeepers, Lee and Catherine Daugherty will make you feel like an old friend. Upon arrival you will be given a brief tour and shown your private room and bathroom, guaranteed to charm even the most seasoned traveler. Once you have a chance to unpack your belongings, you will want to visit the sun room for a refreshing glass of Catherine’s fruit tea or a relaxing glass of wine. Guests can often be found nibbling on fresh baked cookies or snacks by the pool, reading in the library, or just spending quiet time in one of the inn’s three fabulous bedrooms.
