Managed Wild Trout Fisheries

Doon Lough

Doon Lough is situated in Co. Leitrim to north of Lough Gill and between Sligo and Drohahair. It covers fourteen hectares and holds an exceptionall large stock of nice quality brown trout up to 14 ins.(35.5 cms.) in length.

Clogher Lough

Clogher Lough, situated three miles north east of Westport, covers about  30 hectares and holds a good stok of small brown trout.

Callow Lakes and Lough Muck

The Callow Lakes and Lough Muck are located a short distance east of Foxford, Co. Mayo, and hold good stock of wild trout.

Lough Talt

Lough Talt is a beautiful, scenic lake in the Ox Mountains, about ten miles east of Ballina. It holds a large of trout up to about half a pound.

Permits are required for Clogher Lough and for Lough Doon and are available locally. Boats are normally available for hire on all of the above lakes.
