PRODUCT MANAGER

Yahoo! is looking for a dynamic and talented product manager to join the team. You will be responsible for driving our next-generation products and services. Working closely with customers, business development, marketing, engineering and GUI, you will lead the charge to market for products through the entire lifecycle - from concept to end-of-life. Responsibilities include identifying product requirements, developing detailed product specifications, and product positioning and messaging that stands up to competitors. In addition, you will work closely with business development, marketing, and engineering to develop and implement the overall product, business and revenue plans, visions and strategies.

You have a strong technical background with experience developing Internet products, and knowledge of complex enterprise systems such as HR, CRM, and Order Management solutions. You have a biased for action, are detailed oriented, and have experience managing products through the entire release lifecycle. You enjoy solving tough problems and can effectively communicate your solutions to a wide and varied audience. You are a team player, and enjoy working in a collaborative environment. A BS is required and 3+ years of product management experience are required. An MBA is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive core product management efforts for Internet software products.
  • Lead the charge to market for products through the entire lifecycle - from concept to end-of-life.
  • Identify customer segments and market opportunities, drive the marketing objectives and strategies, develop product positioning and messaging that stands up to competitors, and spokesperson for the product.
  • Work closely with business development, marketing, and engineering to develop and implement the overall product, business and revenue plans, visions and strategies, in addition to managing the product team.
  • Act as a leader in the organization and as a key interface to the rest of the organization.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of product management experience with a solid understanding of product lifecycle management including:
  • Identifying customer requirements based on a host of data points.
  • Translate these requirements into product features.
  • Prioritizing features into releases based on market realities.
  • Developing product roadmaps and migration strategies.
  • Proven ability to work in cross-functional environments including sales, marketing, business management, customer support and engineering teams.
  • Track record of successful collaboration with an engineering team or organization.
  • Ability to solve complex issues to achieve objectives and deliver results on multiple projects in a complex, fast-moving environment.
  • Strong strategy, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Contagious can-do attitude and self-sufficient work style.
  • Comfortable in interacting with senior executives both internally and externally.
  • MBA preferred.
