Small Business Prime Contractor of the Year 2004

Secretary of State Powell and Todd Resnick

At a ceremony held on Tuesday, October 19th, Secretary Colin Powell presented the Small Business Prime Contractor of the Year Award to Mr. Todd Resnick, President of Quick Protective Systems (QPS).

Quick Protective Systems of Stuart, Florida patented a disposable mask used for protection in the event of a chemical-biological attack.  The Bureau of Diplomatic Security's Weapons of Mass Destruction division nominated QPS for the award.

For the past ten years, the Department has presented this award, sponsored by the Assistant Secretary for Administration, to small business contractors who have displayed exemplary performance, customer service, management, and technical capabilities.

This year, eight bureaus nominated 11 companies for the award.  Assistant Secretary William A. Eaton presented Awards for Excellence to the ten runners up.
