Beer bottles should be cleaned right after use and stored upside down in the case. This will prevent insects from setting up housekeeping in them. Inspect bottles for signs of cracks or flaws. The yeast in the beer is going to continue to ferment and in the closed bottle the carbon dioxide will have no way to escape. If a faulty or unsound bottle is used you will run the risk of an exploding bottle. If you think the condition of a bottle is in question, throw it away! |
