GENESIS PROJECT |
Maybe of interest to charities such as Greenpeace, WWF, Oxfam etc Or Universities , schools, colleges and Business. Proposed installation .for anyone out there ! Genesis i e "Creation" . The railings are in the form of a double helix i e DNA, with sculptures of animals placed at the appropriate position in time if viewed as a linear time line. I propose that funds could be raised by selling advertising space, eg companies or individuals could sponsor an animal or the project as a whole. In return their names would be etched onto a stainless steel plaque of an appropriate size placed at ground level behind the wall. The project would create a lot of interest particularly from pedestrian traffic. The project would be educational and beneficial to any community; it would also be fun! Additional funding maybe available from Arts &Business foundations They have a schemes whereby if businesses can be persuaded to invest in art they will match the amount £ for £. For example if a business invested £ 1000 the Genesis project would receive an additional £1000 from an Art & Business foundation. The sponsor could write off his donation against tax, and so the real cost to him for some very good value for money PR/advertising is£500. And so £500 becomes £2000 for the project! To increase the earning potential of the Genesis project, sculptures could be replaced with new ones, thus the installation would constantly evolve. As a consequence the publics appetite for novelty is maintained. The removed sculptures could migrate to establish a new project elsewhere, or be sold to raise revenue for charities etc. As a matter of course advertising space could be rotated and extended, and so raise more funds for charities etc This installation wherever it lands could help local Artists, Business's , communities, and generate cash for charities as well . The concept could be used as a template to promote many other installations to meet community needs and so on. See Flow Diagram below.
