Q. What is All About Baby?
A. All About Baby is a small, but growing company that offers personalized and memorable gift products for babies and young children. We began selling our first product, the Babyography certificate, in 1994 and over the years have expanded our product offerings.  

Q. What products do you offer?
A. Our line is made up of distinctive gifts for babies and young children. Currently, we offer tooth fairy pillows and figurines, personalized picture frames, colorful wooden hangers and hooks, piggy banks, cookie paint sets, baby announcement pillows, children's books, and our unique Babyography certificate. 

Q. What is so unusual about the Babyography certificate?
A. The colorful Babyography is a one-of-a-kind keepsake that is made just for your special child. It contains over a dozen personal facts about the child (name, date of birth, length, parents' names, grandparents, etc.) and there is also lots of information about the child's date of birth (who shares that birthday, famous events on this day) and then information about the year the child was born (a brief time capsule). The 11" x 14" Babyography can be ordered framed or unframed.

Q. Do you have other artwork for the Babyography?
A. At this time, the artwork pictured on our website and in our Babyography brochure is the only one that we offer. It was designed for All About Baby by the nationally-recognized illustrator, Mary Haverfield. Ms. Haverfield specializes in watercolor designs and has created artwork for numerous children's books and publications throughout her career. The Babyography artwork is the sole property of All About Baby and you will not see it used on any other products without our permission.

Q. How long does it take to receive an order?
A. Most of our products can ship in a matter of days. However, due to the high level of personalization, the Babyography and the personalized Frames and Names products take a little more time to produce. The average turnaround time is four weeks for a framed Babyography and two to three weeks for unframed certificates. The Frames and Names also take about two to three weeks.

Q. My child was born in 1983, can you still make a Babyography for him?
A. Yes, the Babyography can be created for any living person. The information on your certificate will reflect both the year and day the child was born.

Q. How up-to-date is the Babyography information?
A. All About Baby updates the Babyography each month by adding current events, people in the news and information about popular culture. We gather this information from the national news. We choose information that we feel is appropriate with the tone and purpose of the Babyography. You will not see scandal stories or graphic details, but we do include relevant, appropriate news of the day.

Q. The baby hasn't been born yet, but I want to give a Babyography as a shower gift. How can I do that? 
A. Give a Babyography gift certificate. That way, you do not need to have the personalized information. We will need the name and address of the person who is receiving the gift (recipient's name), as well as how you would like the gift card to read ("This is a very special gift from...."). All About Baby mails the recipient a gift certificate, and the recipient then can redeem it either online or through the mail at his or her convenience. 

Q. Can I have the Babyography framed?
A. Yes, we offer professional framing services, and a choice of seven frames. Each certificate is vacuum mounted, so it will be smooth and wrinkle-free. We use Plexiglas® -- which is safer for a Baby's room -- and the back is sealed with Kraft paper. Each frame is fitted with hangers and stretched wire, so it is a complete gift, ready-to-hang when you remove it from the shipping box.

Q. How are the Babyography certificates shipped?
A. The unframed certificates are shipped in sturdy cardboard mailing tubes via U.S. mail. If you order more than one unframed Babyography, they will be sent in separate mailing tubes and might arrive on different days. Our framed Babyography is shipped via UPS ground service, which takes about five to six days. Only one is sent in a box, so if two or more are ordered they will arrive in separate boxes.

Q. I have twins, can we include both of them on one Babyography?
A. There is not enough room on the certificate for two sets of information, and we have no way to differentiate the specific information for each twin. Consequently, we do a separate Babyography for each child.

Q. My child has three sets of Grandparents, can you include all of them? 
A. Yes, space should allow for that. You have up to six lines of personalized copy under the special relatives section.

Q. My father-in-law is deceased, how can we recognize him on the Babyography certificate?
A. We can list the other grandparents and then put a line at the very end of the personalized column that says: In Loving Memory of: (name of grandparent or deceased person). Or, you could list that Grandparent along with the other grandparents or special relatives (even though he is deceased, he is still a Grandparent).

Q. May we add our family pet to the Babyography?
A. Yes, space permitting, this is no problem. We usually put the pet on the very last line of the personalized information, however some customers like it in place of the sibling line if there are no siblings. Here are a few examples:

Q. My baby is adopted, can you make changes on the Babyography certificate for that?
A. Yes, we can alter the personalized information in a number of ways. We can replace categories and add additional information that you may want included. For assistance with your specific certificate for the adopted child, call us directly at 800-781-7171.

Q. What source do you use for the zodiac information on the Babyography?
A. All About Baby conducted extensive of research on zodiac signs when we began producing the Babyography. After looking at dozens of books, we finally settled on "The Secret Language of Birthdays," by Gary Goldschneider and Joost Elffers. This oversized book was on the best-seller list throughout the 1990s and it contains informative text and a comprehensive history about the horoscope signs. 

Q. What if my baby's birthday falls on a zodiac cusp?
A. Children who have birthdays close to the end or beginning of a sign are commonly known as being on "the cusp" of the sign. If a child's birthday falls on "the cusp," you might want to make sure that you want the sign that we have chosen for that day (see list below). If you do want a different sign for your child, we will change the date and zodiac at no additional charge. Just note this alteration in the Special Instructions box on the order form. All About Baby is happy to make this change at no charge, but only when you inform us when placing an order. 

Q. I want to have some of your products shipped outside of the U.S., is this possible?
A. Certainly! Just send us a regular order and we'll check on the international shipping options (usually U.S. mail). Once we have determined the various shipping options we will email you.

Q. Why do you need my email address?
A. It is very important that we have an accurate and working email address. All orders are sent back to you via email for your review. When you receive this confirmation email from us, please take a minute to look over the information you submitted.
