What do you mean by 
"Special Shelf Treatment" and "Set up"?

The Rebel (and all Martin bows) comes only with a one-piece leather "peel & stick" shelf treatment. We will apply that along with silencers and nock point adjusted on the string for a $15 service charge.

The "better" shelf treatment is a 2-piece arrangement using a rug rest on the shelf and a separate leather side plate. These are applied leaving a gap or "valley" for the bottom feather to travel through for a cleaner pass off the bow. This method works better, lasts longer and runs $20 for that and the silencer and nock point installation.

The silencers are not just tied onto the string at a random position. We lock the bow in a vise and "tune" the silencers to the maximum dampening points on the string for optimum efficiency and recoil elimination. This yields the best arrow speed and quietness of the bow.

For the absolute best tuning, we can also make a "gauged" string. This is a Flemish twist string using the correct number of strands for the poundage of the bow. This allows us to adjust the brace height and squeeze the most out of a bow. This string also has extra strands woven into the loops that make it last a very long time.
