All About the Famous Jacuzzi Tubs

Jacuzzi Bathtubs: The Standard in Whirlpool Tubs

Jacuzzi bathtubs have a name that is almost synonymous with jetted bathtubs and whirlpool tubs. In 1968, Roy Jacuzzi invented the whirlpool bath - he designed a tub with jets on the side, creating a self-contained unit. The Jacuzzi company was later awarded the first whirlpool bathtub patent.

In the 1970's, Jacuzzi created larger, multi-person whirlpool bathtubs. The addition of heating and filtration systems led to the birth of the first spa in 1970.

Over the years, Jacuzzi bathtubs were continually improved as the company made advancements with pumps, jets and air controls. Jacuzzi now has over 250 patents for bathtub-related technology. This long history of innovations in whirlpool tubs has made Jacuzzi the world's top whirlpool tub brand.

Jacuzzi has several products lines for its jetted baths, soaking baths, and air baths.

The jetted Jacuzzi bathtubs have three different collections:

  • The Builder Collection has the largest selection, with 43 different models
  • On the higher end, there is the Designer Collection of Jacuzzi bathtubs
  • Finally, there is the highest end, limited edition Private Collection

Jacuzzi has 42 models of soaking bathtubs in its Builder collection. These bathtubs are not jetted.

The Pure Air baths are a line of air baths that blow bubbles into the bathtub.
