Mike Spinelli, MCC, as past president of the American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA), had oversight of chapters of the society in 176 countries during his tenure. He found one thing in common wherever he traveled, and that was the lack of a full understanding of the power of tourism in government officials as Tourism is the "invisible export." He also found a desire throughout the world for an increase in international arrivals. The book is written to bring a knowledge of tourism to the world as well as marketing a destination to the world.

All net proceeds from the book are to be donated to the hungry of Haiti.
