Celebrating Black History Month Alethea Gordon joined the Department in 1998 under the Presidential Management Fellowship Program, and in June 2002 was assigned to the Office of the Under Secretary for Political Affairs. She served as the Under Secretary’s advisor on foreign policy issues related to Africa, counterterrorism, economic affairs, democracy, human rights, and international health. Presently, Ms. Gordon is completing a Master’s Degree in International Affairs at Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs. [more]
