After checking out life
in Colonial Williamsburg, check into the Legacy of Williamsburg and
live the part.
The Legacy of Williamsburg, located
just 5 blocks (ten minutes) from the historic area of Colonial
Williamsburg, and 5 minutes from William and MAry, was designed with
an 18th Century tavern in mind and the innkeepers will make you feel
like you have stepped across the threshold of time. Convenient off
street parking is available.
From the crown molding lining the
ceiling to the wooden and brick floors, the Legacy of Williamsburg
Bed and Breakfast Tavern Inn has the feel of an 18th Century inn.
Throughout the house, candlelight adds a soft glow to the hardwood
pine floors, and six fireplaces will keep you warm in the cooler
months.
If you fancy a game of chance
before you retire, stop by the Tavern Room and place a game of loo,
darts or billiards. Or if you wish to just relax after a long day on
your feet, cozy up to a good book in the library. The hearth and
brick work was fired in Colonial Williamsburg.
Each of the three suites with
fireplaces and one guest room features a queen-size bed, soft
comforters, and private bath, complete with comfy terry robes, hair
dryers, complimentary snacks and toiletries. Every room in the house
can be reached by a center hall, which lends privacy to guests. If
you wish to stay in touch with what is going on in the 21st Century
there are televisions located in each room.
You wake up in the mornings in your
canopy Pencil-post bed to the smells of home baked breads and
muffins and fresh coffee for your breakfast. A full hot breakfast is
served by candlelight in the Keeping Room in front of a roaring fire
each morning. There are complimentary soft drinks available, hot
beverage service and homemade sweets available 24 hours and each
afternoon a tea service with homemade sweets is available in the
Keeping Room.
