International Member Benefits
Travel agencies and tour operators not located in the U.S. need marketing and business solutions. Here are some common needs of our members and how ASTA meets those needs.

I need to make sure that American agents know that I have a reputable company.
U.S. Travel agents and consumers look for the ASTA logo because they know ASTA members are reputable companies who adhere to our strong Code of Ethics and Bylaws. Members receive exclusive use of the ASTA logo on their letterhead, storefronts, web sites, etc.

How do I show suppliers like hotels and cruise lines that I am an ASTA member?
ASTA members receive an ID Card proving they are members of ASTA. You can also place your color photo on your ID card for free.

I need more information on the market in the United States.
You have access to www.ASTAnet.com 24-hours a day. ASTAnet is a great resource with information on travel agency practices, trends in the industry and other business information. If you are doing business with U.S. companies or in the U.S., ASTAnet is a great resource.

Leads are crucial to my business, can ASTA help?
» ASTA’s Trip Request is an online database of consumers’ requests for travel assistance. More than $500,000 in business waiting for you. Make your business truly global by contacting American consumers traveling to your country.
» The online Directory receives thousands of consumer hits per month, and travel agents use the buyers guide to find receptive operators or tour operators in international destinations.

I want to build an international network of agents and suppliers.
ASTA provides you with many opportunities to meet and communicate with other ASTA members. The ASTA World Travel Congress gives you the opportunity to meet your colleagues face-to-face, our global discussion group is an electronic conversation with members worldwide, and the ASTA WebExchange is an electronic service where you can send information about your company’s products to ASTA members.

How can American agents find me?
ASTA provides you with a listing and web link from our online membership directory and buyers guide. Our print directory also is sent to all ASTA members. The directory will list you geographically and alphabetically.
