"How do we ensure that your fishing experience is
the best it can be? First, we work with multiple guides who offer a diversity
of fishing experiences, which can be particularly handy when weather or river
conditions necessitate last minute plan changes.
Second, we offer unique access to two of the Taupo region's premier rivers.
Third, our quote includes everything you need - licenses, waders, rods, reels
& flies, accommodation, meals & drinks, even taxes - so there are no
nasty surprises. And finally, we capture those whopper fish (digitally, that
is), providing photographic evidence of your magical moments. I invite you to
contact me directly to discuss your fishing plans and goals."

FishinginNewZealand specialises in delivering first-class fishing vacations (some call them fishing
holidays) in the Taupo region, Central North Island, New Zealand.
What does it take to
deliver a first-class experience?
Flexibility. Through email dialogue, we work with you to plan your fishing
experience, including your accommodations. Ultimately, we agree on a plan and a
price. However, the best-laid plans can sometimes be disrupted by the
elements - wind, rain, or swollen rivers, for example. That's when our
relationship with multiple guides offering diverse experiences pays dividends.
For instance, you may be booked for a helicopter fly-in with a back-country
guide, but the river may be too swollen to enjoy safely. Plan B options might
include a day on the lake harling with Terry - a fish-catching experience even full-blooded fly-fishing purists
have enjoyed - or a raft fishing trip on the Mohaka or upper Tongariro river.
Unique access. The Tauranga Taupo river, near the southern end of Lake Taupo, offers some of the finest year-round fishing in our district. Trouble is,
getting to the prime pools on this river can involve quite a hike (an hour or
more). Through a special relationship with the leaseholders of a riverfront
Maori property (Maori are our indigenous people), FishinginNewZealand can
deliver its guests by vehicle directly to the prime reaches of this river. The
same goes for the pristine Whanganui River, which offers fabulous back-country fishing but for most anglers, is largely
inaccessible. Our relationship with Maori landowners provides unique and private
access to this river by jeep, quad bike or horseback, eliminating the need to
hire a chopper to access wilderness fishing. And in both cases, river cabins are
available for overnight or multi-night stays.
No nasty surprises. When we quote you a price, there will be no hidden extras.

Photographic evidence.
Many fishing guides do not have digital cameras, which means
that memorable moments can be missed. We equip your guide with a waterproof
digital camera so that those magical moments and those whopper fish get captured
(digitally that is) for sharing with family and friends. We even burn a
complimentary CD for you.
