B. Tour Itinerary
Day 1 US/Shanghai
Depart San Francisco with your transpacific United Airlines, Northwest or Air China
flight for Shanghai.
Day 2 Arrive Shanghai
Arrive Shanghai, China's most populous city and a rising economic center in Asia.
Our guide and driver will be greeting you at the airport and escort you to your 5 star
Sheraton Huating Hotel & Towers or same class.
Day 3 Shanghai (B, L, D)
Stroll along the world famous Bund waterfront, where your guide will show
you the landmarks along China's Wall Street and one of the world's highest buildings in
the newly developed land across the bustling Huangpu River. In the afternoon, shop
along the Old City Town and Nanjing Road -- Shanghai's past and present
center business districts.
Day 4 Shanghai/Wuhan/Yangtze River Cruise (B, L, D)
Continue your exploration to the Jade Buddha Temple in the morning. Fly to
Wuhan and board the fine cruise ship, M. V. President I,
II, III,
M. S. Blue Whale or M. S. Yangtze Angel. Set sail at 5 p.m. (Different
cruise ships have different itineraries. Description on cruise is just an example).
* For departures March - May, 2003, check into Holiday Inn tonight and board the ship
next day, due to the Three Gorge Project activities (read more details).
Day 5 Yangtze River Cruise <Jingzhou> (B, L, D)
While you are learning Taiji from a cruise director in the morning, your cruise
ship is sailing through the most fertilized land of Yangtze in the middle reaches. Arrive Jingzhou
at 5pm. Visit the twin city with modern textile industry and 3,000-year history: ancient
city wall with moat; a large museum with "Ten World's Most" exhibits including a
male corpse buried 2,000 years ago. Relax on the sundeck as you observe the farms and
happy village life in the heartland of China. Captain's welcome banquet.
* For departures March - May, 2003, Morning guided sightseeing to Chimes
Museum, an unprecedented discovery in our ancient Chinese musicology and Potted
Plant Garden. After lunch in Wuhan, transfer to Maoping to board the cruise ship, M.
V. President I, II, III, M. S. Blue Whale or M. S. Yangtze Angel. (Different cruise ships
have different itineraries. Description on cruise is just an example). On the way,
visit the Jingzhou (Shashi) with city wall and museum.
Day 6 Yangtze River Cruise <Three Gorges Dam> (B, L, D)
Passing the shiplock at Gezhouba Dam, you enter the fabled Yangtze Three
Gorges this morning. Disembark at the Three Gorges Dam construction site for
a close look at the world's largest hydro project. Then reach Badong for overnight.
Xiling Gorge, the first and longest of the three gorges, is featured with dramatic
shoals, verdant cliffs, temples and landmark rocks.
Day 7 Yangtze River Cruise <Badong> (B, L, D)
Excursion in a small boat exploring the Shennong Stream: ancient plank road
remains along the river, mysterious ancient Ba people's coffins suspended high on the
cliff, wild monkeys running under the primitive bushes and trees.... Continue to the 2nd
gorge, Wu Gorge. The weathered twelve peaks of Goddess shapes a deep
zigzagging valley and forested mountains.

Day 8 Yangtze River Cruise <Wanxian> (B, L, D)
Qutang Gorge. Sailing through the 5,000 ft high, 300 ft wide passage and the
breath-taking gorges onto Wanxian. A shore excursion includes visits to the museum
with a suspended coffin on display, silk factory, and open market selling everything fresh
-- an insight into the local daily life. After Captain's farewell banquet, there is a gala
party tonight on the ship till next day morning.
 Paradise
Day 9 Yangtze River Cruise/Chongqing/Xian (B, L, D)
Your cruiser reaches Chongqing at 9 AM. Disembark the ship and fly to Xian, an
ancient capital for 13 dynasties and now a modern metro city. Transfer to your 5 star ANA
Grand Castle Hotel or same class.
Day 10 Xian (B, L, D)
Today, we set off to view China's first emperor's 6,000 life size Terra-cotta
Soldiers and their horses, chariots, and weapons, "the eighth wonder of the
world". Also visit legendary Wild Goose Pagoda and the ancient City Wall.
If time permits, visit Banpo Neolithic Museum. A marvelous Tang Dynasty dumpling
dinner and show.
Day 11 Xian/Beijing (B, L, D)
Fly to Beijing, China's capital, 2008 Olympic Games host city. You will marvel at
the ever changing and splendid city in blend of old and new, even if you are not a first
time visitor. Stay in your 5 star Kunlun Hotel or
same class.
Day 12 Beijing (B, L, D)
Visit the world's largest plaza -- Tiananmen Square. The magnificent royal
court Forbidden City offers endless treasures and stories. Continue to the Temple
of Heaven and Summer Palace, the symbols of the country.
Day 13 Beijing (B, L, D)
Great Wall, bordering the Gobi Desert. Walk on the Great Wall is going to be a
once-in-a-lifetime experience. Also visit the Ming Imperial Tombs. An authentic
Peking Duck farewell dinner party concludes your 2-week China tours.
Day 14 Beijing/US (B)
Take your homebound transpacific flight to the US. You will arrive home the same
day, with everlasting memories.

- $300 per person deposit is required upon booking. Balance is due 60 days before
departure.
- A passport valid at least 6 months after departure date is required; 1 photo needed.
- Cancellation policy: a full refund less $125 p. p. will be given for cancellations
received 100 or more days prior to departure; a $250 p. p. penalty applies to 60-99 days
before departure; 30% of total tour cost penalty 31-59 days; 50% tour cost penalty 20-30
days; 80% penalty 7-19 days; no refund 6 days before or on departure day.

suppliers. The right is reserved to make any changes that might become necessary in
executing the tours. The services are subject to conditions imposed by the suppliers:
airlines, hotels, tour operators, cruise ships, etc. We cannot therefore assume
responsibility for any claim loss, damage, cost, injury, death, etc. resulting from
factors beyond our control. All services are strictly between the suppliers and the
