Catch Of the Week
Swordfishing Featured Picture
Great night. We went 2-3. We had a sword on the first line we put in the water, he came to the boat quick and released him. Around 9:30 the far balloon went screaming, about 15 minutes later we boated a 56" fish then called it a night. Full Story

SwordFishing Report

Swordfishing ReportFish starts taking some line so we start the boat up and keep it off the transom. After 20 minutes we have the fish straight up and down, the tip goes slack and Lee starts cranking...the fish takes off up the side of the boat, almost jumps over the bow rail, bashes into the side of the boat (does that count as a release?) and he spit the hook (12:45), fish looked about 120lbs when he jumped. We get the lines back out, and as i was putting the second float out, the first one gets hit and we are tight again on a nice fish. More From Canyon Runner Sportfishing...

Swordfishing Tip Of The Month:
If you find that you are missing hookups on a dead bait, it may be caused by the weight causing the bait not to feel natural. Try putting your weight atleast 50 feet back from the bait by using waxline or a rubber band. This will enable the bait to swim freely and your hook up ratio should increase.
