Barclay Clawfoot Bathtubs - Classic Yet Modern
Barclay bathtubs personify the classic elegance of old-fashioned clawfoot tubs. Illinois-based Barclay Products makes a wide variety of decorative plumbing fixtures, ranging from classic Victorian designs to ultra-modern minimalist items. While Barclay's trademark is pedestal lavatories, they also make a variety of basins (wall-hung, undercounter and overcounter) and bathroom furniture.
Barclay tubs are the classic clawfoot style, made from old-fashioned cast iron or modern acrylic. However, Barclay bath tubs have modern add-ons, such as hand showers and shower units. You really can have it both ways - beautiful claw foot tubs with convenient features for today's lifestyles.
The following Barclay bathtubs are currently available, priced from about $1200 up:
- The Barclay Acrylic Roll Top Tub (ATR60) with ball and claw feet is 60 inches long.
- A virtually identical style is the Barclay 60" Cast Iron Roll Top Tub (CTR60). It is made of more durable cast iron.
- Barclay's Acrylic Slipper Tub without Deck Holes (ATS60) has the upward sloping rim unique to slipper bathtubs.
- Its cast iron counterparts are the 60" Cast Iron Slipper Tubs with holes (CTHS60) and without holes (CTSN60).
- The unique Barclay Duke Victorian bathtub is made of acrylic and has a double roll top.
- Finally, on the large end, there is the Barclay 67" Cast Iron Roll Top Tub with ball and claw feet.
Note that for Barclay bathtubs, faucets need to be bought separately. Some units also require leg tub drains.
