Silver Fox Charters offers overnight halibut fishing and hunting adventures aboard our 56' Westport vessel Ultimate . You will find the spacious Ultimate an exceptionally comfortable base for hunters. We supply transportation, meals and lodging for 12 fishermen or a maximum of 6 hunters. The vessel has hot & cold water, two rest rooms/shower facilities, TV/VCR and 110 V power. A freezer is available onboard to store your fish, game hides, meat, etc. Your meals, fishing tackle, bait, and fish filleting are included in the price.
Silver Fox Charters offers vessel based hunting trips for mountain goat, Kodiak deer, spring black bear, and brown bear. These hunts may be in combo with duck hunting. We are transporters, not a guiding service so we highly recommend that you consult with an Alaskan guide to determine the best destination for your hunt.
Non-resident hunters must be accompanied by a licensed guide or an Alaskan resident who is a "second degree of kindred" to hunt for brown bear and goats. No guide is required for hunting black bear and black tail deer. . Departure and return times and dates are customized to meet your group's needs.

Spring black bear hunts start in April and run until the end of May. Brown bear hunts run from May 10 - May 25 in even numbered years and Oct 1-Oct 21 in odd number years. Goat hunts run from September 1 until September 30 for Goat Drawing Permits and then from October 15 until November 30 for Goat Registration Permits. These hunts all depart and return to Homer. Kodiak deer hunts run from October 1 until early December. These hunts depart and return from the City of Kodiak .
