Brattleboro: A Vibrant Community

Fair Trade

Did you know? SIT was one of the first campuses in the United States to offer 100 percent fair-trade coffee in its food service program. The conversion to fair-trade coffee was organized by a coalition of SIT students with the cooperation of faculty and staff. Fair-trade coffee benefits coffee farmers in 20 countries in the Americas, Africa and Asia.

Campus Life and Resources

Overlooking the Connecticut River Valley of southern Vermont, SIT's 200-acre Brattleboro campus provides a breathtaking setting in which to reflect on issues confronting our global community. With its tranquil environment, ample technological resources, and diverse student body, SIT provides an atmosphere for learning that is at once intimate and sophisticated.

Students, faculty, and staff pay careful attention to the quality of life on this progressive, multicultural campus. As members of the SIT community, students gain essential skills in management, planning, decision making, problem solving, and group dynamics. Long after graduation, students continue to benefit from the significant and satisfying collegial relationships they form at SIT.
