Tea at Thayer's
Details
When
having a Tea at Thayer's, you have exclusive use of the
our Tea room/parlor or Dining room.
Thayer's
is not a restaurant; we
are available by special arrangement. Thayer's is not really "Open to the
Public" unless
you are attending a scheduled entertainment event.
We have two
options for Tea.
With our first option, Thayer's Three Tiered Tea
- you let Sharon select
your menu and the rental fee is included in the price.
With our 2nd option, Thayer's Mix and Match Tea, you decide how many courses
will be served and you pick the menu; choosing from two to five
courses and the delectable
dainties that will be served during each course is a lot of
fun. Room rental, beverages, tax and service gratuity charges are additional
for option #2.
We have comfortable
seating available for up to 12 guests in our Tea- room/ parlor,
located just
off the coffee bar and game room. Rental cost is $75 per hour,
excluding tax.
Private
Afternoon and High Teas
can also
be served in our
main dining room that comfortably seats larger groups of up to 50
guests. Rental cost is $150 per hour, excluding tax.

When
booking a Tea at Thayer's, we
recommend a two week advance notice, but, sometimes we have
last minute dates open.

An Afternoon Tea of five courses
will take about
2.5 hours.

As
with all private events, pre-payment is required and
non-refundable to guarantee your date.

We
offer scheduled teas & other entertainment events for
individuals, couples and groups.
- Group Mini palm readings
with Sharon Gammell, can be added
during your tea for an additional charge of $10 per
reading.
- A complimentary
tour of Thayer's can be included when you notify us during
the planning of your tea.

 Thayer's
owner, noted psychic, and chef
Sharon Gammell is a self-taught
gourmet chef of 35 plus years. She has had
successful restaurants in Saint Paul and
Minneapolis, Minnesota and over the years has
catered to groups as small as 2 and as large as
1,500.
As the owner of Thayer's,
Sharon wears many hats. She is an
innkeeper, noted psychic, chef, wedding officiate, bookkeeper, decorator,
maid, supervisor, and perfectionist
so, whether she happens to be preparing a latte' or tea, writing
wedding vows or a new murder mystery, cooking your dinner,
teaching a class, doing a psychic reading, making your
bed, or serving breakfast, rest assured
everything at Thayer's meets her high standards.
