Forum Netiquette "Basic Rules & Conduct"
Some basic etiquette and rules for posting (in no particular order):
If you are new to SEO Testing, an introduction message makes for a great way to become part of the community. Something like, "Hi everyone, I'm so and so and I'm new to SEO Testing. Glad to be here." This is just a suggestion and is not required. Plus, to make posting easier, read and understand all of the Netiquette BEFORE you start posting and ensure you have read the privacy, legal and acceptable use policy that you acknowledge when signing up to SEO Testing.
We do not review websites or give out specific information about your website. We actually do not want to see your website listed at SEO Testing in any regard. This site is about providing you factual information for you to use, not for staff to help you. If you want SEO services, then employ a staff member outside of this site.
Please respect your fellow users: debates are welcome, but personal attacks are not.
Please respect the staff. SEO Testing staff step in on occasion to answer questions, delete inappropriate posts and to moderate conflicts. Staff help the overall community run smoothly. In order for the community to work, their decisions need to be respected. If you don't follow this rule, you may find yourself temporarily banned from accessing the board (Staff Privileges) or be removed permanently by Administration and forfeiture of monies and subscription. If you have any questions about the role of the staff, send feedback to admin@seotesting.com.
Don't write anything libellous or otherwise illegal.
You breech my copyright; I breech your access then hand you to my solicitors.
As in most forums, attacks based on others' membership in an identifiable group such as race, ethnic origin, gender and/or sexual orientation are not allowed.
LINKS: Marketing yourself through links is unsolicited advertising and cause for removal as per the AUP. If it requires a link to help the post, link to it, if not, then DO NOT think about marketing yourself on this site. I have no patience for it. Staff have certain exclusive rights of advertisement upon this board. Saying that, it doesn't mean you link to anything obscene, pornographic, spammy or gambling related either.
No unpaid advertisements or solicitations on our boards allowed.
Please keep chit chat within the appropriate forum "Lounge Bar". As a general rule, we don't encourage chit chat in the SEO forums. Instead, well thought out ideas and tips are always welcome - these posts keep SEO Testing an interesting and engaging community. If you participate in chatty threads within the business forums, you can expect them to be deleted at the end of the day.
Please post in the appropriate forum for your topic. If you don't, you will be re-directed by staff. Continuing to discuss the topic in the wrong forum will result in your thread being deleted.
Please, do not use profanities or otherwise foul language. Don't make me add it to our language filter by using it in the first place.
As with many online forums, users tend to use abbreviations for frequently-used words. If you are new to online talking and want to know what someone means when they refer use "SEO" or "IMHO," then simply clarify at the time from the user.
Avoid using ALL CAPS when not necessary (in "forum-speak," it means you're yelling).
Please pay attention to the button you press, whether you want to post a reply or start a new message. If posting a reply, ensure that you are indeed replying to the desired post.
Please read over your message for correct spelling and grammar. I will remove illiterate postings, whether quality content or not.
