RSS export - format error - how to repair

Im running into the bug mentioned here (http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid;=476685&group;_id=5845&atid;=105845) when trying to export the RSS feed from phpweblog. That it is created by phpweblog in the wrong format and so an RSS parses wont read it correctly. [...]

I get this when I try and log in to admin
ERROR! Could not write to http://www.debitage.com/webLog/logs/error.log
Be sure permissions are correct. Run the included fix_permissions.sh script. [...]

Layout issues

I have used phpweblog for years, but recently have had many issues with the layout in 5.3. no problems in 5.2, though. can someone take a look at www.illucid.org, and let me know if there is anything obvious that would cause the layout problems you see there?

Older Stories Block

In my Older Stories Block, it says "Wednesday" at the top even though the stories below it did not occur on Wednesday. How can I remove or fix this? Also, when I edit a poll, I get a 404 (it's forwarding to the wrong page). Where can I change this? Thanks
