Pelee Island Winery:*
Their vineyards are on an island located in Lake Erie, which would make it Canada's most southern winery. It also means a boat cruise to reach them. The winery was established in 1979. Pelee Winery has over 500 acres of Vineyards and believes that to produce the best wines you also have to grow the best grapes. The winemaster is Walter Schmoranz

Pelee Island is served by the largest ferry vessel on Lake Erie, the 265 foot 7,000 ton M V Jillmaan built in 1992. A Pelee Island tram will pick you up at the ferry and bring you to the winery.

At the pavilion you can choose from a self-guided tour or a guided tour which includes video presentations and tastings.
Pelee Island enjoys Canada's longest growing season and the greatest amount of heat. The Island is not only famous for its wine but also for the unique species of flora and fauna. Other attractions include the Vin Villa Ruins and the Pelee Island lighthouse.

Wines of Canada

Our goal is the make the world aware of the delectable tastes of Canadian Wines. We also want our fellow Canadians to support our vineyards and be proud of the products they produce. Your views, input and contributions are always welcome. Meanwhile our work continues, would you like to join us.
